L.I.B.B.A. is asking people again to help the needy children here on Long Island. You can bring Holiday Joy by donating new unwrapped toys and nonperishable food (no glass please) to the “Operation Holiday Spirit” drive. Please check the list of designated sites below and pick a shop or store in your area. Just bring the toys and/or food to one of these ‘Drop-Off” sites and we’ll do the rest. LIBBA directors and volunteers will collect and distribute your donations in time for the Christmas Holiday. No time to shop? That’s no problem as we will shop for you. All you have to do is mail us a check or money order payable to: LIBBA (mark the check/money order in the memo area with O.H.S.) or send a gift certificate to: LIBBA, P.O. Box 816, Babylon, NY 11702.
We are also looking for volunteers to assist us so if you have some time, we can use your help. If you would like to volunteer or have any questions please contact us on the LIBBA Hot Line 516-579-1344. You can also check our listing on www.LIBBA.com web site.

↓Members of the Striper Surf Club would like to thank everyone who came out on a cold rainy Friday night for our Annual Holiday Pint Fling at the “Helm” in Freeport. (Even the local bar flies joined in on our raffles) As you may remember last year’s Pint Fling was cancelled due to Super Storm Sandy. The “Anchor” bar, a.k.a. Alice’s was under water last year and never re-opened. Freeport’s “The Helm” was also nearly destroyed with over 4 feet of water that destroyed much of the bar and surrounding area. The owners did not have any flood insurance but with determination, blood, sweat and tears they put her back together just in time for this year’s Pint Fling.
Because of your generosity we were able to fill two HUGE boxes of new toys for LIBBA’s Operation Holiday Spirit. Members of LIBBA (Long Island Beach Buggy Association) will be distributing these toys to children in need and to those who will be spending their days in the hospital during the Holiday season.
We would also like to thank our most generous sponsors who donated some great prizes and raffles: If missed anyone please let me know!
