We usually do not feature content on SJ blog that originates somewhere else but you know that i feels the Richard Troxler is not only one of the best writers we have ever featured in pages of SJ magazine, but he is also a “thinking” man surfcaster. His videos on how, why and what are must-watch and his new one is no exception
The last few minutes of this video were the best; the journey to becoming a decent catcher of fish is the most instructive process. The author compresses his lifetime of fishing experience into a 20 minute video that allows a novice to go out and have a pretty good idea of how to fish. However, IMHO, the journey,: learning from mistakes/trial and error, learning from folks in the field and keeping your line in the water more than the next guy is key to reaching a satisfactory level of expertise. Sleepless nights and an understanding wife are the best factors in becoming a decent surf fisher.
