I had a pleasure of spending a day fishing with people from SPRO recently, where they showed us some new stuff they have coming. Primarily for the surfcasters, new SPRO Power Bucktails and Prime Snap. I think both of these things are going to be very popular but you judge it for yourself
As soon as I seen the new Spro snaps I immediately thought the same as you, I like the shape and more width towards the plug. Id think it will give any metal lip more action. Can’t wait to get my hands on the new bucktails as well!! Hopefully they will be on the shelves soon!

Looking forward to trying the snaps. I have not bought or used a Spro Bucktail in years simply because that eye placement on top is a non starter in shallow surf for me. I will be looking for the new Power Bucktail for my fall activities. Do wish they made a 1/2 and a 3/4 version.
↓I am so incredibly jealous of the range of gear you guys get in the US. Not to mention the prices you pay for your fishing gear too! Have only ver been able to visit once, back in 2000, and had my wife and kids not of been with me, every case of clothing would have been emptied out and filled with fishing gear to bring home with me 🙂
