Old Montauk Photos part deux:
BySecond batch of classic Montauk pictures.Having an insanely crazy day at work. Taking five and spreading some love around.
Is this leather ring used to apply DRAG??? So the thumb does not get burnt?
This one is my favorite. Notice the tin pouch sewn onto the rain top.
Z, the leather might be a water stop as in kayak paddles. I remember my grandfather back in Brazil used these at times. Awesome pics!
Don’t thanks me pal, thank Tommy…he works very hard to find these photos
Of course, that’s not really a “tin pouch”, but a Thompson ammo pouch. No Aquaskinz back then – was Kadir even alive?
What is he casting with, a broom stick? LOL nice pics.
no Van Staals how did they do it
…ps love these photos thanx Tommy
What knot was used to tie the tins???
Rich B. You might be Right ,after a second look thats what it looks like
Z, great pictures. However, I cannot find Joe The Plumber in any of them.
Vito
