Hot dogs in paradise
ByAhh, the sacred food of the show junkies
Never was my favorite but after you drove for 4 hours and stay on your feet for another 10 you engulf it like a fine, aged steak
Such is a life of those who do these shows. I honestly admire their moxie and long hours they put in. I know its part of their bussines but its not easy. I do only few shows a year and its still draining. My hats off to those who travel every weekend, feasting on dirty dogs and warm coffee.
I must say that MassBass show is very, very well organized, my kudos to all those voluntiers who make this happen.
We only had a minor snafu and that was no fault of anyone but me. You know how some of you have told me that i often put my self down for no reson?
Well, i have a reason…
After driving 4 hours to get there in my sweatpants, I grabed my shirt that was hanging on a clothes hanger and told Tommy to set up the table while i changed in something more apropriate. Only to realize that my clothes are sitting in a bag on a sofa in my den……ouch
Sweat pants and Colombia shirt were going to do it
But all is well that ends well…a mad rush to local Sears and little lighter in a wallet and I was made whole again…well, presentable at least
Pleasure meeting some new people here today, and seeing many old friends, Jim Dow, John Pollock, Veracka,Sliptknot,Tagger, Point Jude brothers, Big Water Gary,Salty,Charlie from CMS, SRI Joe,Nightfighter,DJ and many more i probably forgot. Of course, having our booth was next to John rRedmond from striped-bass.com was great as John is one of the nicest people I’ve ever meet.
Have a nice Sunday and if you are coming to MassBass today, stop by and say hi….
Z becareful of those dirty waterdogs they last 12 years in a landfill. Ill be at the show in spirit.
Wish I could go, I know how much Z you hate when people bitch on here but I got to vent to someone and you all are the only ones I got to talk to sometimes being here in Germany, I was 6 days away from my deployment to Afghanistan, I volunteered cause I have only been back from Iraq for 3 monthes, anyways I was told yesterday that the deployment was off for me and 5 others, what a kick in the balls, I had flown my wife over ( Not cheap) and spent alot of money getting things in order packed my whole damn room up have my car sold alot of shit I did to go this thursday just to be told, I am not going, So I am here pacing around pissed off having a cup of tea and I just needed to vent. Plan now is that I will be going to Ft. Benning Georgia for the remander of my enlistment next fall.SO I feel a lil better and dont be mad at me Z for venting, so it looks like I will be at least getting some wet time in even if it is for freshwater bass or catfish and I am planning on a few weekend trips, the good side of not going back to the box, kinda weird huh, so many guys and gals are made to go to war and there is a handful of us who want to go there and do what we do best and cant do it….. food for thought. Kev
Got TUMS?
And that is why the word SNAFU was invented, by GI’s.
Couldn’t make Mass Bass but spent the day at Suffern wearing my SurfCasterJournal.com Hat…..Alot of people asked about it and I was more then happy to fill them in on all the wonderful things that go on here! Sooo…that being said I think that entitles my to the coordinates to at least 2 of yer secret spots, Z…LOL!!!!
It is the 8′th here in Germany where is the new Magazine !!! cant wait to get out of work !!!!!!!
zeno and tommy good to see you guys. Zeno it’s always a pleasure to break your balls in person. Even if your pants were around your ankles
