From our rod guru
ByAs I promised…some new videos…made by us and for you
Should have at least eight done and edited in next few weeks. Hopefully, when fishing kicks into a gear we will have more action videos then how-to’s. Do keep in mind that I’ve been a cameraman and video editor for about 5 weeks….
First on tap is video we did this winter with our resident guru Lou Caruso .
Lou has a distinction of being the first person ever to be invited to write a column for the Surfcaster’s Journal Magazine. You can read Lou’s review of a sweet rod in next issue of the magazine…and you can drop him a line through his website http://www.louscustomrods.com/
Replacing the cork on the rod Part I
and yes…you can watch it in fullscreen and 1080…cause that’s how we roll

Great stuff !!!!!! Videos break up the tough times to find material to respond to these intelectual forums and posts…. Rightous !!!!!
PS Nice technique on the begining of the cork tape, now I just have to wear mine down on my brand new lonely Lamiglas rod I won here from Surf Casters Journal…..
Perfect timing I just was about to start replacing the tape on one of my rods. Thanks for the work put into this.
put out the alcohol heater before starting with paper towels and the alcohol wipe down might cause a problem
Great Video!
That’s a loud clock I hear in the background
lou is a…
great guy and a super rod builder. very happy our fishing family found him 2-3 years ago.
Lou has built me one rod and refurbished another two. He really puts his heart and soul into it. Does a great job.

Will there be an archive so we can go back to the first issue. Thanks for the the great work
I was going to ask Lou build me a rod last year but it never happened. One of these days.
Just to clarify I couldn’t swing it at the time. Lou was on the ball and ready to go. Like i said one of these days.
Lou has built me two rods and worked on a third.. touched it up. He is a great guy and builds top notch rods.

Yes, the back issues will be archived with ads and link always availible…unfortunatly, we will have to charge $69 to access it as this is stanrad practice in magazine industry.. New copy $4.50…old copy $15
just busting pal…yes, they will always be there, free of charge. After all, how can you charge a man to view a masterpiece? Now that would be wrong
